Bad, Very Bad

Last week I worked out 2 times not good. Then this week nothing. SO BAD!!!!

I am going to start the beta round of T25 over again this week and I am also going to make my kids start riding their bikes in the morning so that I can run. They need exercise too.

Still on my goal for 145 by June 30th if I don’t start doing 2 a day’s I don’t think I will make it.

Work hard and keep moving forward. NO MORE PAUSING!!!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

I have been floating at 17 pounds until my first goal but I know why I have been floating there. I have not been eating breakfast or right.

This week is the first week of the Beta round in T25 and I took Monday off to hang with the kids and then yesterday because I ran out of time with getting things ready for my sons kindergarten graduation and graduation party. Room mom is busy during party times. I am thankful to have been room mom and I am looking forward to the end of the year when I have no more responsibilities for his class.

I am super sore from the first day of beta round and today I am looking forward to lifting some weights and getting back on track. I have 4 weeks left to get those pesky 17 pounds off. If I don’t make it to the full 17 pounds I will just keep working until I do. I haven’t gained anything back which is great in its self.

Keep moving and I will too. Do you have goals that you have set? If not, then set them. Goals are very important and they help to motivate you to work harder.

Goal #1 Be at pre kids weight by June 30th

Goal #2 Keep an accountability partner and report to her daily

Week 5

This week is week 5 of the alpha round of T25 and I am seeing a difference. I am excited for next week because I will get to start lifting again and I know that lifting I see fast results. I also started running again and started an app for better speed and weight loss but went to do day 2 to only find out that I have to buy the rest of the running days. WTH!?!?! Well so I plugged into C25K and still got my running in.

On Monday I was challenged and I challenged my accountability partner and we did 25 squats every time we went to the bathroom. I ended with 175 and she ended with 125. Yesterday and today she is trying to be her Monday squats. Very proud of her. Tomorrow I will again do the squat challenge. 25 squats every time you go to the bathroom, I’m hoping to beat 175.

Keep Moving

I tried to take it easy last week because of my injury and in doing so I took it to easy. I ate foods I know I shouldn’t have and I made excuses not to do my workouts. Another new week has started and I did one video yesterday and didn’t run but today I ran and now I don’t want to do my next video. I’m not a fan of this one video and I really don’t want to do it. So much so I am blogging about it to try and run out of time. Well I guess I should do it. Tomorrow I will hate my self for not doing it.

Another Week Done

I love running. I thought I would never say that but I do I find peace in running. I am feeling much better but still have problems lifting my leg higher than knee height and I know in time it will be better. Today I finished week 6 of the couch to 5k app and I received a badge from #nikeplus I finally beat my time and I have now run a 12mm and I have never run a 12mm. In high school when I was on the track team I never ran a 12mm my runs were short 100 and 200 meters only. When we tested in PE for mile I did maybe 16mm. It’s kinda funny I am in worse shape right now than in high school but this old me runs better and faster. Makes me really happy to see progress like this. Tomorrow I will be starting week 7 of the app which I have no idea what to expect because I didn’t read on and I haven’t looked. I think I will wait to look until I am at the trail ready to run.

In a little over a month it will be my birthday and this year I am excited for my birthday unlike last year I dreaded the day. I wasn’t where I wanted to be at that time and this year life is so much better and I am so much healthier and hopefully by my birthday I will have a bikini weather body. I fit in one now but I still look like I shouldn’t be wearing one.

Injury OUCH

Went running this morning and was going down hill and going fast when I tripped over the separator between the ground and the bridge and I went down. Not just a trip but I grabbed my dog to keep from face planting and in doing so I hurt myself. So today is no working out day. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better.

Praying for a fast recovery.

Working It

Yesterday I started Focus T25 again. But this time I have found a group on facebook that just started as well and we are all moms working to get into shape.

I think this time around things will have changed. I started yesterday with Week 5 Day 2 of the C25K app and ran a 13mm then came home popped in the T25 DVD and did the first day of the next 10 weeks. I finished with a 10 minute flow yoga from @yogagirl (ig) @RachelBrathen (twitter). It felt great until I went to bed and my legs started killing me.

I thought I wasn’t going to go running this morning but I did I didn’t hurt when I woke up. Week 5 Day 3 done and Week 1 Day 2 of T25 done.

New PR

Even though I have not been sticking to a regular workout like I should I workout when I can and I think that is what is keeping me from becoming burnt out.

I love running. Who would have thought that this sprinter would love long distance running but I do. Today I broke my PR I am now running a 12 minute mile which is amazing for me (patting myself on the back) Each day I run I break my PR and today as I looked at the awesome badge that Nike+ gave me I realized that I never ran this fast in high school when I was on the track team. 100 and 200 were my events. Short bursts. When we would have to do the mile for the tests for our grades I wouldn’t run faster than a 16 min mile. Almost 20 yrs later and I am pushing for a 10 min mile. Week 5 Day 1 of couch to 5k done and I can’t wait to try and beat today’s time.

What did you do today to get in your exercise? If you don’t think you have time you really do. When you walk up those stairs to put away the laundry take them 2 at a time and squeeze those muscles when you step up. Squat when you dry your hair or when you are making dinner. Something is better than nothing but if you feel that nothing is the right thing for you today make the best of it by eating right.

Changes

I gained it all back. Everything I had lost and worked hard for those 2 weeks in Denmark. I even gained back more.

BUT things have changed.

About a month ago my family and I came down with the Novo virus and we were all sick for over a week. My husband doesn’t ever call in sick to work and he left work early and stayed away for 4 days. It was torture but it helped me break an addiction I have had for over 25 years. Dr. Pepper and caffeine.  I know what your thinking how could Dr. Pepper and caffeine be an addiction but you coffee drinkers out there know I mean. Dr. Pepper ran though my blood and if I didn’t have one first thing in the morning I would get migraines. If I didn’t have a cold one at home I would go though the drive threw and get a 44 ounce with fries or what ever else I felt like eating. Every day is a bad bad thing. The virus made us so sick that food tasted different and I had one sip of a Dr. Pepper and it tasted funny and I got sick all over again.

I have been doing the Focus T25 on and off since Christmas. I am finally on the second round of 5 weeks on week 3 and I started running again. I have lost over 10 pounds since being sick and not drinking soda anymore. The workouts make me sweat and I swear I smell like a pig after but I am seeing a difference. My arms aren’t giggling as much and my shape is coming back.

Day 7 Last Day

Today was the last day of training in Denmark with Alex. 😦
After yesterday’s ass butt kicking I didn’t think I could handle a workout today BUT I did it. Crazy sore from yesterday and now add in the crazy workout from today, tomorrow is going to be rough. I’m going to miss his smile even when I want to quit he says “come come” and I keep going. Hopefully I can find a trainer in the states that makes working out like this fun.
I’m so fried that writing this post is difficult.
Thursday I go home and I’ll have one day to sleep then I’m out of town again for 2 days. But next week I will bring it. Running and then some bands and weights at home. I look forward to continue the fat loss I have started here in Denmark.
